Goreys and Wexfords first skate shop opens on John St.
There was a meeting on Monday 16th October @ 11a.m. in the town park. Councillor Pat Codd gave the park and project his blessing and words from freestyle and grant also.

Are them diggers I see? YES!!! The work has started. Good things do come to those who wait. I know so many of our friends are delighted for us, not just that there is going to be a skatepark, but probably more so because WE got something done. Thanks for all your encouragement over the years. Any one who attended a meeting, sent a text, stopped and asked us about the skatepark, came skating with us, or helped in any way, thanx.

Congratulations to Freestyle Skateparks who have been chosen to build the Skatepark. They won the tender which was sent out to 5 companies. Work will hopefully start ASAP. Just a few more details to be worked out with the Council and then we should see the first sod being turned. The plans for Gorey skatepark are in. They can be seen in the gallery.
