Sk8 Skool

Starting this Wednesday 2nd July @ 10am
Running all summer is the new Sk8 Skool. This is for either beginners wanting to learn to skate and skaters wanting to improve their skills on a skateboard. We will also be organising some inline hockey too. The Sk8 Skool will run over the summer months and will have everything from advice, tricks + tips, maintenance for your board, mini competitions, filming and photography and much more.
The summer sk8 Skool is open to everyone. We will be taking all age groups for the skateboard lessons, 5-16 years. Places will be limited so please join early to avoid disappointment. Groups of 10 will be catered for at any one time. Please get in your application forms as soon as possible and the Sk8 Skool will start then aswell. Equipment will be provided by the skateclub or you can bring along your own. Cost of the Sk8 Skool is €35 p/p/per term (which includes 6 months free club membership). Each term will consist of 5 x 1 1/2 hour sessions. Cost for existing members of Goreyskateclub is only €10. The beginners classes will be held in Gorey Town Park and intermediate classes in the skatepark. Please fill in this simple and return it to either Angela Evans c/o Halfords Hair Studio or Grant Masterson c/o Wreckless.

Welcome to Goreyskateclub`s online home.
We hope you enjoy browsing around our website. There are lots of stories and news about the skating revolution
taking place accross Ireland at the moment. With skateparks popping up now all over the country, times have never been better here in Ireland.
Both concrete and modular skateparks co-funded by the Dept. of the Environment and local authorities are under construction or completed.
The €2 million+ is being quickly spent.
The road has been long and tough though. It has taken some 15 years for such skateparks to appear. Ireland is catching up to providing these facilities but still
has a long way to go to before we could actually say we have succeeded. Gorey town and Wexford county has the third ever concrete
skatepark opened here in Ireland.
We will be gathering information and updating this site more regularly now. You will be able to find out about the skateparks all over the
country and all the new projects that are going through the early stages still. We will have regular updates posted so click back soon.
Good luck to all the local authorities working hard to get projects completed this year.
